| The Mystic Tan process is a safe and easy alternative to conventional tanning. In less than a minute, you can achieve a natural looking tan that will last for about a week. The process is simple, and works well on almost all skin types. The Mystic Tan solution is an aloe vera based bronzer and self-tanner solution that reacts with the outermost layers of your skin to provide a cosmetic, non-Ultraviolet tan. The question everyone always asks is "Will it turn me orange?". The answer is NO, provided you follow a few simple guidelines. The condition of your skin is one of the most important components of the Mystic spray-tan process. Dry skin does not react well with the solution, so moisturizing your skin on a regular basis is extremely important. We carry several lotions designed to not only prepare your skin for the process, but also extend the life of your tan. The day of your Mystic Tan session, it is best to shower and exfoliate as close to your session as possible. (FYI: Bar soap tends to dry out the skin and leave a film that will affect the way the solution absorbs.) Please plan for a minimum of 4-6 hours between your Mystic Tan session and your next shower or bath. These are just a few suggestions we have found that help you achieve the best possible results. There are three levels of Mystic Tan spray. Our staff will be happy to help determine which level will work best for you. If you have never had a spray tan session before, it is normally best to start with a lower level and build your Mystic Tan gradually. You will see substantial color from your first session, but again, each person's skin is different so there is no way for us to tell you exactly how dark your color will be. The first time you visit our salon for a Mystic Tan, we will have you watch a short video that will explain the process to you in detail.
